Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Rolefora (“Rolefora,” “we,” “us”), operated by GASAN MANSOUR OMER BAKHIT, United Arab Emirates, collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and application (the “Service”).

This document is a product-stage draft prepared ahead of public launch and payment provider review. It reflects our actual current implementation as closely as we can describe it, and will be reviewed further before full public launch.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text).
• Profile and career preferences — optional details you provide such as phone number, target role, target location, and salary/preference information, used to personalize the Service.
• Resume and CV documents — files you upload, and the structured career content (work history, education, skills) generated from them.
• Generated career content — resumes, cover letters, ATS analyses, keyword analyses, skill-gap analyses, career coaching output, interview practice responses and feedback, and similar AI-assisted content created through the Service.
• Job application data — opportunities matched to you and the status of applications you track through the Service.
• Subscription and billing metadata — your plan, purchased credit balance, and transaction records. We do not directly store your full card details — see “Payments” below.
• Technical and security logs — information such as IP address, device/browser information, and request logs, used for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.

We do not collect more than what the features above require, and we do not sell your personal information.

How we use your information

• To provide and operate the Service, including resume parsing, AI-assisted analysis and content generation, job matching, and application tracking.
• To process subscriptions and one-time credit purchases.
• To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Service.
• To communicate with you about your account or support requests.
• To improve the Service over time.

AI processing

Certain features (resume analysis and enhancement, keyword and ATS analysis, cover letter generation, career coaching, interview feedback, and similar tools) send relevant content — such as text extracted from your resume, or your interview practice answers — to our AI provider (OpenAI) for processing. This content is used to generate the output shown to you in the Service, and is not used by Rolefora to train third-party public models.

Resume and CV data

Resume and CV documents you upload are used solely to power the parsing, analysis, and career-enhancement features you use. They are private to your account by default and are never made public.

Payments

Subscriptions and one-time credit purchases are processed by an authorized payment provider, including Paddle, who acts as our merchant of record. Rolefora does not directly receive or store your full card number or other complete payment card details — that information is handled by our payment provider under their own security and privacy practices.

Service providers

We work with a small number of service providers to operate Rolefora, each with a specific, limited role:

• OpenAI — AI processing for analysis, writing, and career-guidance features described above.
• Paddle — payment processing and merchant-of-record services for subscriptions and credit purchases.
• Cloudflare — DNS, security/CDN, and private object storage used to host your uploaded documents and generated files.
• Hetzner — infrastructure hosting for our application and database.

Each provider only receives the information necessary for the role described above — not a full copy of your account data.

Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies/local storage needed to keep you signed in and to operate the Service (such as an authentication token). We do not currently use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts.

Data retention

We retain account and career data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to support account recovery, financial record-keeping, and legal obligations. Exact retention periods are still being finalized operationally and will be clarified here before public launch.

Account deletion

When you delete your account, it is deactivated and no longer accessible for normal use. Consistent with our current implementation, account deletion is a soft deletion — certain records (including financial/billing history we are required to retain) may be preserved for a period rather than immediately and permanently erased. Children

The Service is intended for adults seeking career and employment support and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. We will update the “Last updated” date above when we do.
